The US is the largest real estate data market, and no single portal holds the whole picture. Redfin and Realtor.com are strongest on homes for sale and sold prices, Trulia on neighborhoods, Zumper and Rent.com on rentals, and Auction.com on foreclosures. Most US property products combine two or three of them.
Happy Endpoint provides six US real estate APIs. Each is a separate API on RapidAPI, and the same RapidAPI key works across all of them.

Homes for sale and sold prices
The Redfin API searches homes for sale, rentals and recently sold homes by region, free-text place, coordinates or map polygon, with focused searches for new listings, price-reduced homes, open houses, new construction, foreclosures, fixer-uppers and waterfront homes. Each home returns the Redfin Estimate and its monthly history, a rental estimate, sale and tax history, public records, the land parcel, climate risk, market heat and sold comps.
The Realtor.com Data API has the widest search filters, with roughly 97 parameters across for-sale, rental and sold homes, plus off-market properties and public records. It returns RealEstimate valuations with a forecast, environmental risk scores, agents with reviews, schools, mortgage rates and neighborhood market statistics.
The Trulia API adds homes for sale and sold homes with price and tax history, home value estimates and local market trends. Use it alongside Redfin or Realtor.com when you want a second valuation or Trulia’s neighborhood data.
Rentals
The Zumper API covers rentals in the US and Canada down to the unit: every available unit with its rent by lease length, itemised move-in and monthly fees, tour slots, building ratings and resident reviews. Its rent market routes return weekly median rent by bedroom count, rent estimates for any point, city rent statistics and Zumper’s national and metro rent reports.
The Rent.com API focuses on apartment communities, with floor plans and units, fees, pet policies, rent estimates, utility estimates, Walk Score and nearby places.
The Trulia API searches rentals by place, radius, map box or polygon and adds the neighborhood layer: resident reviews, survey scores such as quiet, walkable and dog friendly, schools, amenities, demographics and commute times.
Foreclosures and auctions
The Auction.com API covers the largest US marketplace for foreclosure, bank-owned (REO) and auction properties, with auction schedules, venues, trustees and live bid status. Redfin’s foreclosures search and Realtor.com’s foreclosure filter add agent-listed foreclosures from the main portals.
Looking for a Zillow API?
Zillow no longer offers a general public API for listing and Zestimate data, which is why so many developers search for an alternative. The closest options here are:
- Trulia, which has been part of Zillow Group since 2015. The Trulia API covers its rentals, homes for sale, sold homes and home value estimates.
- The Redfin Estimate, a home value estimate comparable to the Zestimate, with monthly history, from the Redfin API.
- RealEstimate, the valuation on Realtor.com, from the Realtor.com Data API.
Portal data and MLS feeds
Much US listing data starts in a Multiple Listing Service (MLS), and the portals republish it. These APIs return what the portals show, so you can work with listings, sold prices and valuations without joining an MLS. They are not a licensed MLS or IDX feed: a brokerage that must display MLS listings under IDX rules should get a feed from the MLS, usually through the RESO Web API.
What you can build
Automated valuation and comps - combine sold homes from Redfin, Realtor.com and Trulia with their valuations to benchmark or train a valuation model.
Rental market analytics - track asking rents by bedroom count with Zumper’s weekly trends and rent reports, and compare them with Rent.com and Trulia listings.
Investment and deal sourcing - find price-reduced homes, fixer-uppers and foreclosures on Redfin and Auction.com, then estimate rent and yield with the rent estimate routes.
Agent and brokerage research - compare agents by sales statistics, past deals and reviews on Redfin and Realtor.com.
Relocation and neighborhood tools - pair listings with Trulia’s resident reviews and surveys, school zones, commute times and Walk Score.
Combining the sources
- Match homes by address. Each portal has its own property and listing ids. Normalise the street address, city, state and ZIP and use them as your key, with coordinates as a tiebreak.
- Keep estimates apart. The Redfin Estimate, RealEstimate and Trulia’s estimate are separate models. Store each with its source and never mix them with list or sold prices.
- Save the date. Prices, status and rents change daily. Store the date you read each record so trends are measurable.
- Use one geography. Portals define neighborhoods differently. Compare markets by ZIP code, county or city when you combine sources.
Getting started
Pick the source from the tables above and subscribe on RapidAPI from its API page. Each API has a location lookup to start with: /autocomplete on Redfin, /locations-autocomplete on Realtor.com and Auction.com, and /locations on Trulia, Zumper and Rent.com. Run one search for one city, then add filters and pagination.
